Chimborazo Summit Day → Chimborazo Summit Day

On the afternoon of the summit day, the peak was not looking so good anymore. Eventually we set off at 11pm, and the wind picked up soon. A few hours on we stopped below a 200m icy rock wall to put on the crampons. As I was putting on the second pair, the wind dislodged a sizeable piece of rock that landed with a great thud a meter from us, and subsequently started tumbling down to the second group. That was when we abandoned the expedition.
